Dresses from Perfect Bridal

There are so many dresses out there to choose from and I'm sure it gets overwhelming trying to find just the right one...whether it be bridal, bridesmaid, mother-of-the-bride or going away dresses. I'm a pretty decisive person, and yet, I generally feel overwhelmed when thinking about all the decisions that have to be made for a wedding. Here are dresses that are available from Perfect Bridal to make your decision process a little easier.

Bridesmaid Dresses:

There's something very classic about this first Cynthia Rowley dress. The simple one shoulder and sleek shape makes it feel like you could see it walking down the aisle or down the red carpet. If you're on a very tight budget, this dress in white could make a great bridal alternative.

This yellow number is sure to make a few appearances this summer. I love the color!

Mother-of-the-Bride Dresses:

When my mother was searching for a dress for my brother's wedding it was very hard for her to find something that fit well. She's not a petite but  is quite thin, so an age appropriate bridesmaid dress was the perfect fit for here. Both of these dresses are great options.

Going Away Dresses:

I'm pretty traditional and love the idea of leaving in a different dress than I wore all day! I think back to being a child and looking at my mother's lime green going away dress (cira 1968) in pictures. It was so mod and while her gown was traditional she showed personality through that little green dress. Here are two options I love very much!

Carol Hannah Whitfield

I'm a reality TV junkie, but one of my favorite shows is Project Runway. I love the drama, the crazy designers, Michael Kors and...oh yes, the fabulous clothing. I know, some of it is awful, but the good stuff makes up for the bad in most cases.

Over the years we've seen designers like Christian Siriano and Santino Rice make names for themselves. The designer that I'm most proud of and most akin to is Carol Hannah Whitfield. She is a very VERY talented wedding gown designer. She has a showroom in NYC and of course an Etsy shop, The Wedding Collection. If you're searching for a dress, you must stop by and take a peek. Here are 3 of my favorites:

This dress has a great vintage feel with the aqua and draping. It also comes in white and ivory.

I love the cut of this gown and the straps! It's a fun take on a classic ball gown.

This dress is gorgeous! The silk organza flowers have me swooning! And who doesn't love a sweetheart neckline?

I hope you enjoy Carol Hannah's dresses as much as I do! If you're on the search for a bridesmaid dress, be sure to check out your local Bella Bridesmaid for Carol Hannah's line available this month.

Monique Lhuillier at Nordstrom

I'm on an eternal search for bridesmaid dresses that don't break the bank, but still ooze with style. By the time you buy the dress, shoes, plane ticket, throw a shower & bachelorette party, give gifts at all other showers thrown you've likely dropped a grand. I've been a bridesmaid more times than I can count on one hand and wouldn't trade an ounce of it for the world, but..... it does drain the wallet quickly.

If you're a bride that wants to be conscious of your 'maids and their budgets, you must check out the ML Monique Lhuillier Bridesmaids line at Nordstrom. There are 8 dresses under $200 in sizes 0-16! Incredible. Here are my two faves!

Coral Part I

Be still my heart. Be still. Today (and tomorrow!) we're talking about one of my lifelong favorite colors. Coral. It has such a spectrum of shades and can evoke so many different moods. To me, coral = grown up pink. I also think everyone can find a shade of coral to suit their skin tone. Coral is popping up all over blog land lately, so let's look at ideas from some of my favorite coral themed posts.

For the Men.

I rarely write for the men and yet I surprisingly have a few faithful men followers. To keep them coming back and to finally voice my opinion on men's fashion here are a few of my favorites for wedding events of all kinds.

. Engagement/Bachelor Party . Rehearsal Dinner . Casual/Relaxed Wedding .

Looks from real men:

. The Sartorialst . 03/10/10 .

. The Sartorialist . 01/25/10 .

My love affair with Billy Reid clothing continues:

. Formal Affair .

Paul Smith's suiting collection rocks. Clean. Crisp. Oh so English.

No matter the atmosphere of your celebration or your taste in fashion, you can look and feel great (and have your lady think you look great, too) at all your wedding festivities!
